Good Questions, Honest Answers
Everything Reno neighbors usually want to know before their first visit — and if we missed one, just call.
What areas around Reno do you serve?
We're based in Reno (89501) and cover roughly a 25-mile radius. That's the whole city — the Old Southwest, Midtown, Northwest Reno, Caughlin Ranch and Somersett — plus neighboring Sparks, Spanish Springs and the valleys around them. If you're in the greater Reno-Sparks area, call and we'll usually make it work.
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes. For the bulk of jobs a couple of photos and a short phone call are enough for us to set a firm price. Larger jobs get a free in-person look. Whichever route it takes, you'll know the number before any work gets on the calendar.
How does pricing work — do you charge by the hour?
Wherever it's possible we price the job itself instead of billing the hour, so the cost is clear from the start. On open-ended punch-list days we'll settle on a rate and a rough scope ahead of time so nothing catches you off guard. And if the work goes faster than figured, that break lands in your favor.
Are you insured?
We are — general-liability coverage is in place and we'll gladly show the paperwork. We're locally based here in Reno, so we stand behind the work and we're a phone call away if a question comes up afterward.
What kinds of jobs do you handle — and what don't you?
Our lane is the broad middle of home repair and maintenance — drywall, doors, mounting, fixtures, fences, gutters, painting, winter prep and the ongoing punch list. Nevada, though, requires a contractor's license once a job reaches $1,000 in labor and materials or needs a permit, so we keep our work under that line. When a project is bigger than that, or needs a permit, or crosses into new electrical circuits, gas or major plumbing, we say so plainly and point you to a licensed contractor we'd use ourselves.
Can I just text you a photo of the problem?
By all means — texting a photo is the quickest route to a quote. One or two clear shots plus a line about what's happening is usually all we need to quote the work and sort out timing before ever coming by.
How do I schedule, and how far out are you booked?
Reach out by phone or text and we'll line up the soonest opening that works. Most of the time we can be out within a few days, and we bump up the timeline for pressing problems like a leak or freeze damage that won't keep.
How can I pay?
We accept the common, convenient payment methods and don't overcomplicate it. The agreed price is set before we begin, and you pay once the job's finished and you're happy with it.
Got a list? Let's shorten it.
One quick call or text gets you a real price and a real arrival time — usually within the week.
